If you are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness it is vital you speak to an expert about your situation who can give you accurate advice. You can phone if you have nowhere to sleep or might be homeless soon, or you have somewhere to sleep but nowhere to call home you are or could be at risk of harm.
The helpline is open every day of the year Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and weekends from 9am to 5pm.

There is a homeless drop in for those in need to get a hot drink, advice, clothing, tents, sleeping bags and signposting. This is Monday to Wednesday from 9:30am to 12:30pm

This can be accessed by contacting either the Newton Abbot YES Centre on 01626 202530 between 2.00pm to 5.00pm on Monday and Thursday, or Teignbridge District Council on 01626 361101.
For young people living in Devon who are at risk at home, at risk of becoming homeless or already homeless, or you are about to move into supported accommodation and for parents who are struggling with your teenager's behaviour or want to know what support is available for parents. Furthermore, if you are worried about where you are going to stay tonight, Night stop Devon provides emergency overnight accommodation for young people between the ages of 16-25. On a night-by-night basis young people are placed in the homes of hosts who have been trained in homelessness and have also been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau.

Water sure Scheme - 0344 346 1010
8am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 1pm on Saturday.
Ask your water company for a form to sign up for the water sure scheme. This is provided to people to help them pay their bills if they are on a water meter and have a high essential water use due to either medical reasons or by having 3 or more children of school age. They must also be on certain benefits to apply such as universal Credit, pension Credit, housing Benefit, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, income Support, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, working Tax Credit and child Tax Credit awarded at a rate higher than the family element.
